MONTEZ-  Kathleen Marie Montez passed away Thursday, April 16, 2009 in Espanola at the age of 48.  She is survived by her parents, Frank and Rosana Montez; boyfriend, David Wood; daughters, Alma Rose Montez Dartez and Mariana Simone Montez Dartez; brothers, Martin Montez and wife, Theresa, and Daniel Montez and wife, Dora; sister, Leticia Montez; and many nieces and nephews.  A Memorial Service for Kathleen will be held on Tuesday evening, April 21, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. at the San Juan Church in San Juan Pueblo, NM.  Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2009 at the St. Daniel's Catholic Church in Wheatland, CA.  Arrangements by Salazar & Sons Mortuary,400 Third St. SW, Albuquerque, NM (505) 247-4124. www.salazarandsons.com

MAES-  Margarito Fred Maes, 93, Our beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather went peacefully to be with the Lord surrounded by his loving family.  He is preceded in death by his wife, of 53 years, Sinforosa Vigil Maes. He is survived by his daughters Sr. Bernadette Maes, Josephine Montoya and husband Richard, Stella Romero and husband Isaac; his sons Richard Maes, Frank Maes and wife Deborah, Gilbert Maes and wife Theresa, Jimmy Maes and wife Kathy, Bill Maes and wife Adrianna and Charles Maes and wife Debbie; brothers Ben Maes, Orlando Maes and wife Lucille, Juan Maes and wife Emma, Vicente Maes and wife Angelica; sisters Frances Lopez and husband Gustavo and Theresa Valdez and husband Minder; 20 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  A Rosary will be recited on Friday, May 8, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Therese Catholic Church, 300 Mildred Ave NW.  The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, May 9, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Therese. Interment to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Gilbert Maes Jr., Laura Maes, Annette Dutton, Michael Maes, Joseph Maes and David Montoya. Honorary pallbearers will be Rickey Montoya, Pete Saiz, Chris Hill, Geraldine Mavis and Cameron Quick.
